STAGETEXT is a charity which provides access to the theatre for deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people through captions.. Captions are similar to television subtitles; the actors’ words appear on an LED unit at the same time as they are spoken or sung. Speaker names, sound effect and offstage noises are also shown
