Our newsletter 'Ears News' is published six times a year and is sent free to allimage members.

This newsletter has been welcomed both by people with tinnitus and by members of the medical profession. Not only does it provide details of the group's meetings and events, it includes the latest information and reports on research into tinnitus.

There is also a section on news and events from the BTA.

Tinnitus Awareness Week 2010

Tinnitus Awareness Week 2010 was held Feb 8-14th. The occasion was marked by a variety of events which were held at most of our Birmingham Hospital ENT Departments, Hearing Services Centres and Social Care and Health.

Music with afternoon Tea and Cakes - Sunday 21st February at 3pm.

This was a Fundraising Concert of light classical music performed by musicians from the Birmingham Conservatoire and was held at:
Quaker Meeting House, 65 Linden Road, (on The Green) Bournville, Birmingham. The event was well supported and the performers presented an excellent programme. The audience declared it to be one of the best concerts ever! All proceeds went to Birmingham & District Tinnitus Group.

Merger with Birmingham Institute for the Deaf (BID)

Our group's proposed merger with BID was completed in June 2009. BID has its offices at the renamed Deaf Cultural Centre, Ladywood Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham. Committee meetings are held here, and any special event.
